We have a new attraction in our neighborhood that is pretty cool! The RJ Cinemas Distillery Taproom has opened in the location of the old Brew and View in the plaza with Crossroads Eastside and Jungle Jim’s. The new owner wanted to keep the concept of having food and drinks at the theatre but with some updated touches.
Now when you go to this Eastgate theatre you can see current, first run movies but first enjoy and drink and dinner at the updated bar and grill with a patio and open seating. RJ Cinemas is not just going to be serving beer and alcohol, but they will be distilling their own in house rum, vodka, and bourbon. This is pretty cool!
The theater is also serving a fresh food menu along with classic concessions. The menu choices will be classic bar foods, like wings and tacos, but some with an original, fresh twist. I tried the tacos when I stopped in, and they were made with juicy pulled pork and a delicious slaw. I also found all of the prices very reasonable! I think this is going to be a winning business for this location.
